I rented a Bollywood movie last week. I called it a "romantic musical". It was called "Bride and Prejudice". I really, really enjoyed it. Of course there was a hot guy -- an Aussie -- Martin Hendersen.

King Kong was good, but they basically took the black and white original and updated it and copied it for the most part. Even the last line of this movie is the last line of the original. I liked it though, didn't think it was sad though. As I was not surprised by the ending.
I rented Sin City and Herbie (the new one) a few days ago. I was glad to see Herbie stick with the sillyness of the orginal movies, so it was a good family flick.
I was impressed with Sin City, it was a lot better than I thought it would be.
Did someone say Kung Fu Hustle? I adore that movie! hiyah!!! It is so silly it is a riot.
Saw King Kong last week..'twas a pretty good remake
Saw Syriana week before last...was good (i think) but I need to see it again when it's on DVD or cable...it's hard to follow and you really have to be wide awake & paying rapt attention during it.
If you liked "Ong Bak" get Tony Jaa's new movie "Tom Yam Goong". Great martial arts/action flick.
Last Days - Gus Van Sant .... either you love or hate it. i love it.
The Devil's Rejects - Rob Zombie
Pinero ... this movie rocks me hard...
Natural Born Killers - Oliver Stone .... reneted this one again because i hadn't seen it since highschool. but i really enjoyed it this time around. it sent me on the craziest trip man. wow.
all i can think of right now.... i know there are others.
I saw Hotel Rwanda last night. WOW. What a powerful movie. It had me out and out sobbing, but it was riveting.yes forsharry, i know. it broke something in my mind.... TS
I just ordered The God Who Wasn't There and Murderball through Netflix. I've been on a documentary tear for the past few months.
I'm not sure why a lot of critics pooh-pooh'd Cinderella Man. I think it was one of the top films of 2005. And if you're an anti-war type of person, Syriana would appeal to you. I still want to see Good Night and Good Luck. Oh, and Wal Mart - The High Cost of Low Price is a great parallel documentary on how the WTS operates.
Sophie Scholl - The Final Days is excellent but utterly grim.
i agree, i really liked cinderella man, i'm not a boxing fan, but i liked the story that went along with this film
