Actually though, I think that the party line is that the purpose of all creation is to bring glory to Jehovahs name. But between Satan, Adam and Eve, things got mucked up. Soooooo....enter the randsom, testing and judgement (armageddon) stories and the revised purpose of what we live through is to prove that humans and angels can be faithful to God in spite of being dumped on because the original human pair blew it.

So, our revised purpose in life, at least for now is to be dumped on and remain faithful to God.

I know, it sounds weird, but in a nutshell, that's the gist of it.

BTW, if this is a serious paper, be sure to actually read the sites listed. Also, go to the library nearest you and check out a book or two on the witnesses. I don't know how your teacher/professor feels, but my professors did not like to see a paper come in with all Internet sources referenced. It makes ya look lazy.

The JWs purpose in life is to work towards everlasting life on earth by abiding to the dictates of the Watchtower society. A tiny number of JWs believe or pretend to believe that they have been chosen for everlasting life in heavens.

Most ex JWs believe that the watchtower organisation is a devious system set up to profit by exploiting religion.

hi i hope i can help you with your quetions please mail me andi will answer your questions.as from the answers you have all ready recived your proberly feel very confused.but please dont pay atention to them.a lot of these people left the jws for many diffrent reasons and then complain to a computer every day about it.i can assure you that jehovahs wittnesses are a God loving people who do there very best to serve God.i can tell you first hand i dont serve the watchtower i serve jehovah God.these people were ovesley serving for the wrong reasons.but thats there choise and there lose.if these people honestly felt they were serving the watchtower they them selves are admiting they didnt serve God.

This is largely true, but it's also true of people in other religions. That one's zeal and love are sincere may be laudable, but it's no stamp of approval:

"They have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge." - Romans 10:2

Be careful of someone that uses the word "obviously". It is a propaganda tactic used to make the hearer accept something for which there is little or no evidence. "Clearly", "Many thinking persons believe", "Surely you will agree", and phrases like this also fall into this category. Edited to add: PMJ is probably not aware of this, the "propaganda" was almost surely not intentional.

There's actually a very good series of articles on propaganda at the Watchtower.org web site. Go there and search on propaganda, you'll see them. Entertaining, too.
