There is nothing right now to indicate that the year 2006 will be any better or worse than the previous year.

My husband is an optimist. On January 1st he announced that the new year was going to be great!
I just stared at him in admiring disbelief!
How can he so confidently say such a thing?

I walk cautiously and in fear and dread everyday of my life and he announces to the world 2006 will be awesome! How can it be that two people have totally opposite views of life?

This fascinates me. It must be coming from an inner security and confidence of self...and belief in a creator who cares for him. Yes, lately my non JW husband has been expressing confidence in a God.
This pleases me very much.

Before we married I told him I would not marry him if he didnt say that God made the moon.
One day we were looking at the beautiful full moon and I asked him who he thought made the moon.
No one, he answered. This answer so disturbed me I told him truthfully I could never marry a man who did not believe in a creator, a man who thanked no one for the many gifts we are given in life, me included.

We kept talking and dating and one day I asked him again who made the moon.
God made the moon Anewme. I know that now, just as I know God made your two beautiful eyes.

Yep, I fell for it! But seriously folks, he is a believer. I think he is growing this year spiritually.
I hope my good efforts to be a loving, generous, kindly tongued wife is helping him to come to that thankful conclusion.

I think for some, 2006 will be a good year.......because they say so.

There will be triumphs as well as tragedies for me in 2006, much like 1959, and every other year after that. Grace is what has brought me to where I am, and Grace will lead me thru out the moments of this day and my life.

Grace will not always be confortable. It requires a fitting into many other fabrics in the interconnectedness of life, mines as well as the lives of many others. I, however, will try my best to wait out Grace, as opposed to my trying to push ahead, my life amidst my situations.

When it is all said and done, I believe Grace will have continued to work out a miracle in my life, as well as in the lives of so many of you.

Here's to the Loving of this Life in 06. There are many miracles yet to come.

Don't leave before the Miracle Happens.
