Wow, I'm so amazed. I have some friends whom I've helped out a bit, and they have a computer resale business. They generally get a lot of older stuff, so when she told me that she would like to give me a laptop, I was a bit skeptical as I didn't want a big ol' dinosaur.
It s an HP Omnibook 6000. I've been fixing it up all night, installing stuff. I'm very impressed, even though this is a little older laptop. It has 1 gig processor (a PIII), and tho it has Microsoft Windows 2000 professional, it has been running easily and nearly like the xp on my desk top computer. I don't need bells and whistles like some gamers do; I just like being able to research whatever I want. I like a fast processor, and 1 gig is just fine by me because with broadband this baby is flying.
Only trouble is that I don't have a manual for this, and I'm curious about what all the odd ports and things are all over it. I'll just have to start researching...
Alright, sorry to interrupt your conversations. Go 'head and talk amongst yourselves... I just needed to celebrate a little!
