As far as comparing the stereotyping to black people, I think it's blatantly obvious that most are more sensitive to prejudices in this area. Relating the two is an accurate analogy to help folks see their own prejudices. It has nothing to do with prejudice on the part of the person making the comparison. Now, perhaps you'd like to come up with something cogent to post?

I would say that sloppy is a more accurate term--nothing to do with socio-economic background.

john doe is no better than the people he criticizes for calling me a hick. but wait, i'm a poor black hick that needs to be defended, right? because "most are sensitive to stereotypes in this area." do i look uneducated because i don't capitalize my words? why is that of concern to you anyhow? i agree that maybe you dont have enough going on in your life if youre worried about my grammar and punctuation. but i guess the fact that i haven't capitilized on an informal forum makes me a dumb black hick!
