One who is abjectly subservient to a specified person or influence: “I was still the slave of education and prejudice” (Edward Gibbon) For all their interpretation, all they had to do was look up the meanings of the word Evil and Slave... to me that points very clearly at who the TRUE "Evil Slave" class is.

Now I'm confused.

Reading that scripture in Matthew, it looks to me like there is only ONE slave set over the household and that ONE slave might prove to be EITHER faithful and discrete OR evil. That's all she (or he) wrote! If you're going to insist the slave is a class, (and by you I mean them) you can't go divvying up the slave into individuals and form two new slave classes out of them.

There's only one head slave there, and if it's a class of people and that class is the GB of the WTBTS, they are either faithful OR they're evil. I'm voting for evil.

The problems with the Society's interpretation is that Jesus said the evil slaves and good slaves exist together until his return. On the basis of the popular JW assumption that only they constitute God's 'household', this means that since Jesus obviously hasn't returned yet the evil slaves are within the JW organisation, not outside it. This is borne out by their belief that all anointed 'faithful and discreet slaves' (about 8,500 who annually take the memorial emblems) are only JW's! They can't say that only the goodies are in the org and all the baddies are already outside of it, cause that is completely against what Jesus said. They get around this glaring contradiction through their invention that the separation of the good and evil slaves occured when Jesus is said to have come to inspect his house in 1914 or thereabouts. Pure cobblers of course.
