I love my crockpot... I make soups and stews and chili and spaghetti sauces in it (not all at the same time, of course) and sometimes I'll do a small roast in there too. I only paid about $30 for it, and it's been worth every penny!
For lunches, homemade chicken or turkey soup.
Last night for dinner, I made an amazing sausage soup with navy beans, potatoes, lots of veggies and fresh parsley and basil in chicken broth base. Served with garlic bread with cheese sprinkled on top. Filling, comforting, and very healthy.
I have some left over chicken that I'm going to use to make a casserole and a big pot of soup with this weekend.
For lunch my husband and I usually eat left overs.
Dinner always has somekind of meat: example this weeks menu was
Monday: Meatloaf, Scallop Potatoes
Tues: Chicken and rice
Wed: Chicken from Popeys
Thrus: Roast beef, potatoes, green beens
Frid: today is pork chops and salad/green veg.
Weekends are for going out to dinner - this weekend is my birthday, so I get to choose the restaurant
I eat alot of pasta.... although lately I have been on a total Samosa kick... there is this great indian place that sells them 12/$3.50... ummmm
Beer and sandwiches for lunch and beer and anything put in front of me for dinner. But I vary the kinds of beer.
