    Keep in Step!

    22

Kingdom interests on the earth have been entrusted to "the faithful and discreet slave," which is represented by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses. (Matthew 24:45-47) The Governing Body is primarily concerned with providing spiritual instruction and direction for the Christian congregation. (Acts 6:1-6) When fellow worshipers are affected by natural disasters, however, the Governing Body asks one or more legal entities to provide relief and to repair or restore damaged homes and Kingdom Halls. If certain Christians are dealt with harshly or are persecuted, steps are taken to build them up spiritually. And "in troublesome season," every effort is made to keep the preaching work moving forward.—2 Timothy 4:1, 2.

    23

No matter what comes upon his people, Jehovah constantly provides spiritual food and needed direction. God also gives discernment and insight to responsible brothers to prepare for further advancement and refinements in theocratic organization. (Deuteronomy 34:9; Ephesians 1:16, 17) Without fail, Jehovah provides what we need in order to fulfill our disciple-making commission and to accomplish our ministry worldwide.—2 Timothy 4:5.

    24

We have absolute confidence that Jehovah will never abandon his faithful people; he will deliver them through the coming "great tribulation." (Revelation 7:9-14; Psalm 94:14; 2 Peter 2:9) We have every reason to maintain the confidence we had at first firm right down to the end. (Hebrews 3:14) Let us, therefore, be determined to keep in step with Jehovah’s organization.

What can be said about the religious situation that exists today?

Is it possible to side step Christ Jesus' authority as our king & high priest and say that we can somehow gain salvation through an organization? An organization that claims their authority is from God!

God's army of theobots. The wt should have parades to demonstrate this step. Each theobot has an invisible thread running first to the elders, then co's/do's, then the branches, then nywt corp, then the entire bundle goes straight to the wt's throne in the pleades, where the chief controler resides.

From where did the G.B. or F.D.S. get their authority to assume they were God's spokesman.

Those are grandiose claims as much as they are deceitful, their rotten fruitage doesn't justify them being senior executives in God's enterprise on earth. They claim to be prophets from God but they are one of the many false prophets foreseen to appear. As for Christ they seem to hate him so much that they relegated him to a minor appendage of jehovah.

From a single scripture which merely asks a question: "Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?" Sounds ludicrous when you really think about it.

From one single scripture! You are so right jeeprube! How could a phrase that is mentioned ONCE in the bible translate into HUNDREDS (IF NOT THOUSANDS) of referances to a specific group of people here on the earth, the ONLY GROUP THAT WOULD BE ACCEPTABLE TO GOD AND CHRIST!
I have tried and tried to understand this reasoning. My final conclusion on the matter is that doctrines like these are not fully understood by the believer WELL AFTER his conversion to the faith. At this point they no longer question, simply accept.

Drew....I am just finishing a great book by Don Cameron called "Captives of a Concept" and it is entirely about the scripture in Matt 24 and how everything in the WTS is built around that one idea of JW being chosen by Christ in 1919 and becoming His FDS. Don systematically destroys that idea with their own history...its a fantastic book and everyone who was in and who still HAS loved ones in the org need to read this book! We wonder how they can know their own past history and still remain believers? He explains how that happens!

The last part of the book he shows a great strategy for talking to a JW, questioning this doctrine and getting them to think! I plan on using it with my husband soon as I have all the information in my head! All other teachings depend on the reliability of this one scripture in Matt 24...once it is dismantled the rest automatically crumble!

The book is a quick read...big print and very well done! There's a comment from GaryBus on the back! I highly recommend it!
