Thanks Mad Sweeny for posting that. I had to work and am so glad to be able to see it. It just makes me so sick that they are seeming to get by with it. It's the same fight I had and the same excuses they used toward me. I

The documents were very revealing. You will have a better understanding of the big picture. I dont know how those elders can sleep at night knowing they could have prevented several children from being abused.

I cried when Candice blamed herself because she didnt come forward earlier and other children were abused. She was a child. The adults didnt have an excuse.

I liked it that the tone of the report was even-handed, no excessive drama. It made the story all the more shocking. Especially at the end when the reporter revealed that the wtbts recently sent out another letter to the elders, with the same policy.

Does anybody know anything about Roger Bentley, mentioned starting at about 6:12 in the video? A caption in the video says "former elder". I know he could still be a JW and just not be an elder, but I'm curious as to whether he left JWdom. He seems to be level-headed.

I was wondering the same. I can't imagine he's still in, especially considering he was revealing confidential letters right there to the press.

We watch the whole segment live on PBS.

My wife(she is still very much in, but I have been saying things lately to make her think), was shocked that The Society was more interested in protecting "The Elders", than "These Little Ones"!!!

I had to make her a "stiff drink" to help her calm down.

Any chance that NPR will pick this up?

Actually the WTS has been doing this for a long time now as a means to protect the image of the entire organization, treating pedophilia as an ordinary sin like fornication or adultery.

Its not as its been recognized as a egregious crime in most countries.

the letter of introduction of Kendrick been good with young ones is so not loving or caring for the Congregation, not to mention something so important like child abuse you could see they could care less about the sheep.
