Has anyone read the translation methodology (e.g. using as a basis an interlinear and starting from the English glosses) explained on the site? Quite unrelated to the principles involved in actual translation and reveals the translator to actually be quite unfamiliar with the language as a whole. The NWT has quite a fair number of theologically-convenient translations, but Wheeler's version goes even much further than it, with phrases like "only-created Son" (for the traditional "only-begotten Son", shifting the language of begetting to creating; tho it is usually accepted by Greek scholars that the sense is closer to "unique Son") or "In an ancient time" for "In the beginning" (thus removing any hint of eternity to the Word), etc.
