What I am suggesting is that you secure an attorney, if you haven't got one already and have them read what I posted above. You can order just that article in the Journal, or you can order the entire Journal. Have the attorney read it CAREFULLY. Then let them decide how and if yes, there is grounds for a lawsuit.

I'd ask now for any other comments to chuckyy's question above.

    4) The Essay provides an excellent legal start to bring out what is corrupt with the WTS's so-called blood therapy ban. And it is all out there in the public eye and yes the media is taking notice. The Essay provides a legal theory that may work in certain circumstances. It not only takes apart the references relied upon by the WTS in a phamplet but also goes after other aspects of the doctrine that are corrupt.

    5) Each case that comes forward will have to be indivudally reviewed on its merrits. You might think on the face we have a case of belief where no court can go. But, the article gives some good thought that someone in a position of authority for the Corporation knowingly or should ought to have known that they were publishing misleading statements (or in some cases not publishing or reporting any statements on recent changes to the doctrine that caused someone harm) to the Flock in an attempt to support the corporation's ever-changing blood therapy doctrine.

Every attorney should read that essay, if not for future reference, in order to inform and educate themselves on the magnitude of this policy misrepresented by the WTBTS book publishing corporation. Thusly, proceed accordingly.

I wish you well chuckky and your daughter too. I have a fourteen year old and she is appauled by your story and many others regarding this insane lethal policy that CONTINUES to kill it's most innocent...the children trapped by their parents beliefs. Beliefs and policies misrepresented by this organization and its leaders.

    Regards, sKally

Bloodless surgery is available now also.

They have machines that can recycle a patient's blood so they lower the risk of reactions to a donor blood.

Why didn't your Dr. think about that earlier?

    I think I would find another Dr...sorry.

I don't mean to be negative but when hubby was so sick..he also faced the possibility of the blood issue.(He was a JW) I had to do a lot of research on what he could accept and what he wouldn't.

We even have a special hospital here in Missouri that operates without blood including open heart surgery!

They were going to put a shunt in his chest and his Dr wouldn't do it without blood being available. The witnesses recommended the bloodless hospital. But they decided he was too far gone. (Cancer that spread to his liver)

If I was you I would check out all your options!

    Snoozy Q....

ps..Look up bloodless heart surgery in SEARCH...you can find many references there..your Dr knows about them..why didn't he mention them to you earlier?

    Dear chuckyy,

Please know that we are rooting for your little girl to be ok.

You must return to the board and tell us of our progress.

We all know the JW hate children. Try to focus on how lucky you are that you got her out now.

I'm sending you a big hug from California?

Here is a thread too, I'm sure you see here in 'active topics', that I encourage you to re-view as well and perhaps print out the two letters for your files and your attorney:

    Hi Chuckyy!

Sorry to read about your little girl's heart problem and the dilemma you had.

I don't know if it will help, but here goes, sometimes, technology gets better as the years go on, and in some way it may turn out to be a benefit that you daughter didn't have her surgery when she was very small. At least now she is bigger and hopefully much stronger.

I had heart problems all through my childhood but didn't have surgery. I had catheterisation treatments, many times when I was in my twenties. Technology had improved and I didn't need to be opened up but had the work done steadily with cardiac catheters. Sometimes things do turn out for the best.

What hospital is your daughter going to? I had my treatments at the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester and it was amazing. I hope you're with the best you can find and that everything will go really well for your little girl, you and your family!

    Thinking of you.

    Best Wishes

    Gill

Chuckyy, if I understand the legal angle, the idea is that the Watchtower not only laid down religious rules (which they are within their rights to do) but they also MISLED people about the health risks of obeying their religious rules. This they are NOT allowed to do. So the basis for the suit lies in proving that they misled people about the medical information available. The document you've been referred to shows where those misrepresentations took place.

    Dave
