I talk to Myrna all the time. I hear her voice every morning when I get dressed, "That outfit needs a necklace" or "Why so dull? Wear some color!"
Has anyone communicated with the dead, and who do you think it was?

I have never communicated with the dead, but the night my father died I had an experience. I was driving home and could feel his presence, my mind was filled with thoughts of him, I just could not think of anything else, it was like he was trying to contact me - I had this overwhelming urge to pull over and find a phone and call him. When I arrived home about 15 minutes later, I got the call that my dad was on his way to the hospital, his heart had finally given out and they couldn't revive him. I think he was trying to reach out to me as he was dying.

The closest I have experience with the dead is by feeling that they are no longer among the living, I get physically ill just before I heard the news of some of my relatives unexpected death.
a couple of times I have experience that person presence, it can be a warm or a cold chill that comes into the room (I found it depends on that person's personality). when my father passed away my daughter and I both felt his warm presence at the same time, we were putting together a picture display of my late father and suddenly we got this weird experience that he was looking back at his life though our picture collage of him. we both said at the same time time, "did you feel that?"
In some native american cultures they say the spirit linger around for awhile.

I had this dream about six years ago.
I was in a store shopping for a coat with my Dad (85 yrs old)- when my Mother and Brother walked in and told me that it was time for my Dad to leave- I told them both " Dad is not ready to leave yet- you can go, but not him"
Immediately I woke up- the telephone was ringing. It was the hospital calling to tell me that my Dad had been admitted- and was dying ( stroke). He pulled through and lived another three years. My Mother had died 8 years earlier and my Brother had died 5 months earlier. I believe that my Mother and Brother came to tell me of Dad's impending death, but I talked G-d into giving me a few more years with him.
Believe it or Not,

I just communicated with the dead. However, after she finishes her coffee, she'll be among the living once again.
LOL! It's the same at our house...

WBTS doctrines create a big CONTRADICTION in Leviticus where God says that those "speaking with the dead" should be killed. If the WT god was speaking there, and knew the dead could not be contacted, why say "speaking with the DEAD?"
If it were demons they are talking to, why not say Demons instead of dead? The WT even inserts modern punctuation in the Witch of Endor episode, to support their position on this: It is not Samuel who appears, but " Samuel".
if God doesn't want us to do it fair enough; but it is only those who don't believe in the incorporeal soul who are tied in knots over this one. I also think that if such things are spiritual, they would not be called works of the FLESH, but works of the spirit. In much the same way that when someone has coition with a dog, it is not called an act of love, where the animal is raised to the human level, but bestiality - the human lowers himself, and degrades the poor critter.

I almost died of a lung infection. I remember the clock on the wall of the ward. I knew that if I could stay awake until 5 am, I would live.
Now, whenever I wake up in the night I cannot sleep till I know the time.
End of preamble...
I dreampt my Granma knocked on the door of my childhood home, and we went for a walk, talking laughing, and she took me to an orchard full of blossoms and bright sunlight.
Suddenly she said -"I've got to go, sorry." I tried to stop her, but she left.
I was so upset I woke up. Had to check the time. 4.25. am
Next morning my mum foned to say Granma had a massive stroke. at 4.25 ish am

I communicated with the 'dead' for 15 years. Didn't talk to him much after the divorce, though...

Had a few unexplained experiences. The strangest was in the jungles of Sumatra with a wise woman.
Long story but basically she turned into an old woman right before my eyes. I asked for the ceremoney more for the historical interest as she is the last of the shamans (christianity wiped them out...lutherans. Not a bad thing though as head hunting was a popular past time).
She correctly explained where I lived while possessed by the "old people", plus other details but what struck me was on returning the next day, the first thing she asked (via a translater) was what did I dream? Yes I had a most vivid dream of hundreds of old people one by one coming forward and welcoming me with a smile and nod.
I knew little of shamanic practice at the time and subsequent reading has helped me understand the depth and meaning of other statements made by her.

Interesting experience, though I'd be more impressed if she was able to turn herself into a Hot young woman.
