WTBTS and their stand on Medical Marijuana?

I'm curious what the current WTBTS stand is on medical marijuana, especially in states and countries where it is legal. If not the herb itself as medicine, then their attitude towards Marinol (THC pill) and SatiEx (THC + other cannabinoids in a spray).

I am an Oregon Medical Marijuana Patient, and I know there are a couple other medical marijuana patients around.

Years ago when I was a kid I heard a talk on this subject. The answer is "Yes, it's ok so long as it is for legitimate medical purposes... just as it's ok to use heroin (morphine) for legitimate medical purposes."

Is there anything in print on this? I always thought it was "NO" but then when did I ever pay attention to what was coming off the paltform? ( Was the smoking aspect I thought )

I second that, Elsewhere. If a drug is legal, that a JW can take it in the legal way.

I wonder how Rutherford got around Prohibition with his supply of alcohol being shipped in illegally from Canada? He felt that Prohibition was a Satanic law. Wrote a whole booklet on it.

I know what their stand is probably going to be. I think it's going to be contrary to these guys stand on medical weed.

There are many ways to partake of marijuana other than smoking.

I know that, just wondering how the R&F will view it? Perhaps they don't realize the alternatives to smoking it? Or believe that the user would be high? Would this be a stumbling block for brothers and sisters?

I'm for the legalization of marijauna, I believe it has the potential to a lot of good for people who have no relief from chronic pain.

This is how to use weed without smoking it.

I'm sure it would, at first... then they will have a "Special Needs" talk where they tell the "stumbled" ones to quit stumbling around and stand up straight.
