The GB of the JWs continue to make this grandiose claim that they were God appointed to be his sole channel through which he gives new light to the world and that they were also assigned to oversee his kingdom interests on earth.

This is of course an audacious but cheap lie that they want to use as a means to promote themselves and climb up, like babylon, on the backs of their followers.

What reasons or information can you offer that proves they are impostors against God and men?

I say their claim that the apostles in Jerusalem were a GB like them in the early Church is ridiculous eg the apostles never threw out and ordered shunned anyone opposing them, and churches were autonomous eg the Antioch Church sent out missionaries like Paul without ever consulting Jerusalem.

It's also interesting to note that Antioch is where the name Christians originated, rather than from the "GB" in Jerusalem.

They preach beyond what Paul preached and therefore are accursed by Biblical standards.

The fact that their teachings are constantly revised and corrected proves they are teachings of man.

The Bible contains no " new light " doctrine but stongly condemns false teaching. And we all know, any teaching that is not true must be false.

Those are a few. How did I do?

The GB "represent" the anointed in what way? Do all the anointed get together so that the GB can tune in the channel? Nope.

And when the anointed do send in some potential "new light", what's the GB's reaction? DF them for running ahead of the FDS. Except that the anointed are part of the FDS. So why do they get df'd?

    Woodsman,

Actually the bible is full of new light. When it comes to moral principles the bible is far from consistent. You just need to look at the general difference in the teachings between old and new testaments as one example.

(1 Corinthians 4:6-7) 6 Now, brothers, these things I have transferred so as to apply to myself and A·pol´los for YOUR good, that in our case YOU may learn the [rule]: "Do not go beyond the things that are written," in order that YOU may not be puffed up individually in favor of the one against the other. 7 For who makes you to differ from another? Indeed, what do you have that you did not receive? If, now, you did indeed receive [it], why do you boast as though you did not receive [it]?

When I first became ensnared by the WTS sham, I was told that "Jehovahs Witnesses teach the truth about the bible."

If that is the case, then the bible must repeatedly change its mind about things - because the WTS certainly does!

If other religions are wrong about something, that is "proof that they have not got the truth."

The WTS, though, would try to have us belive that "even though we are wrong, we are still right."

The whole business would be laughable; were it not for the fact that, in the process, a lot of people end up getting hurt.

I think they manage to prove that by themselves - by constantly trying to surpress their History and subtly try to change their false prophecies.

    Dark Knight,

The WTS's "new light" doctrine is not the same as the difference between the Hebrew and Greek scriptures. For example the Hebrew scriptures pointed to the Christ coming and the Greek scriptures say he has come. Neither is false.

The WTS's old doctrine on the generation of 1914, as an example, was false.

If you believe the new light doctrine is analogous to the different teachings in the Hebrew and Greek scriptures then you are saying that the Hebrew scriptures were false. I don't think even the WTS would agree with you there.
