I never got a chance to make sure of anything. I started 'bible' studies programming at 7 and got baptized at 15. Never saw it coming...

My Wife got in first. I just didn't want to rain on her parade. Then, I thought it started to make sense. But all of a sudden things just fell apart, I saw too many things in the Kingdom Hall that didn't jive with what they were teaching. Which brought me to a serious study of The Bible on my own. I suddenly woke up to what they were doing. Using Religion to control lives..and make money. I got out immediately, but my Wife stayed, hated me for what I discovered, ignored it, and divorced me on the Elders Advice.

"Spiritual Endangerment" right? This is another reason for those of us who have mates in the WTS to stay undercover.

For me the major motive was that I perceived the dubs as being a spiritual people at a time when the world was generally not spiritual so I thought I had found a great brotherhood. I never really believed deep down in a paradise that was to arrive soon.

Becaues if i didn't join the WT God was either going to off me when he destroyed 99.9% of the earth's population or he was going to forget about me and I wouldn't be cloned into the New System.

I was a fool for believing that unscriptural and twisted crap.

The fact that at onetime, back in the old days, during the district conventions a lot of times, it was possible to leave your personal items in your seats and never need worry whether you were going to be ripped off. At least that's the way it seemed. I was also impressed that there was no guilt tripping, demanding of money by the passing of the plate. The fact that they didn't smoke, didn't curse, were just the epitome of perfect people.

The honesty factor was a killer as well. I was always amaxed how, if a person witnessed a crime and there was a Jehovah's Witness who viewed the same crime, the news media would harp how the Witness who viewed what ever happened was as good as if Jesus Himself would have witnessed it.

Paradise, Seeing lost friends and family again, thinking i was helping other people... So yeah, like all i was fooled with lots of good things till after sometime the real agenda became clear. Some people never get to see the truth, and i feel sad for them.
