That is not why we go to our meetings. Just as at dinner, we don’t always get new dishes. Often it is the same food we have had before. At our meetings, we get the voice of God over and over again so that we will know his voice when we need to know it; quickly, without hesitation

    WOW! What a great analogy. Dinner/meetings. meetings/dinner.

Except at dinner you can feed the unwanted portions to Scruffy the dog.

The article started out sounding good, when they referred to the voice of God as the bible, then they had to go and blow it by mentioning the GB (slave). What an egotistical bunch of bast***s.

What about the voice of husbands? Wives need to listen with deep respect. The same Greek word is translated at Matt 10:28 (“And do not become fearful of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul”) as fearful. Not a morbid fear, but fearful in the sense of not wishing to displease, because of love.

Your wish is my command Oh Royal Hubby.

There is another voice. It is that of “the faithful and discreet slave,” and the Governing Body.

    S Herd is a blasphemer.

Then there is the voice of Dan Sydlik, “How good it is to be alive.”

then there is the voice of the apostle Paul: "We are confident I say and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8)

Makes you wonder, doesn't it, whether those GB members are as 'heavenly' as they claim; perhaps they're just earthly after all, eh?

We may not always get new dishes (gag) but dining on old tainted food DOES make one sick

Yeah....I remember all the "sumptuous feasts" that were warmed over moldy garbage....that I traveled many hundreds of miles and spent lots of $$$ to "enjoy".

Can't say as I'd "recommend THIS food" to anyone

    (even for Scruffy the dog)

Annie edited because I had written "sumptuous feats" instead of sumptuous feasts, although now that I think about it---it WAS a "feat" to digest most of that stuff!

These and other notes are personal notes that bethel family members took. They are almost verbatim, I know cause I was there. I got another one that is better ;-)

These were sent through the internal bethel computer network for awhile until the GB gave a warning about not posting these on web sites. Notes were still taken but this time if you wanted one you had to ask for a printed copy. What difference does that make? We got scanners, PDFing, and OCRing. :-)
