I too have heard this although not in a talk.

Amazing that in the time spell of the stone moving in the diferent publications:

Thousands of children the world over abused,

Millions born into disease & extreem poverty,

Natural disasters claiming more lives than man made wars,

My point? What is `God` waiting for?........

Its mad living in the introverted/ego-centric world of JW`s - just glad I saw it for what it was

Well i looked at the quoted articles and to me it just seems the society feels nothing is happening and needed hype, so they exploited some of their poor drawings. :P

I agree with Quotes. Let's get the velocity. And while we're at it let's also calculate the mass of the image.

I know a lot of dubs fall for this sort of thing, but sometimes dubs who are beginning to think for themselves (but are still believers) find this stuff as silly as we do.

It's just one more notch in the crazy belt.

I can remember years ago being with friends and discussing the drawings in some of the publications as if they had significance. There was almost a split screen in my brain where I could picture the reaction normal people would have to such silliness, while, at the same time, entering into the delusional spirit of the discussion and even feeling a warm glow of dubby belonging.

If you have a "Your Will Be Done on Earth" book available (1958) turn to page 112. Here is a picture of Daniel's dream image. Notice where the stone is that is 'cut from the mountain of Jehovah's universal sovereignty.' Pretty close to the mountain. Now open your "Pay Attention to Daniel's Prophecy" book (1999) to page 58. Notice where the stone is now some 40 years later! An amazing comparison. Finally, open a copy of the brochure "Keep On the Watch" (2004) to page 15. Do you see where the stone is now?

This sounds a bit like a claim that the Watchtower Society's literature and artwork is prophetic, and therefore inspired.

    They'll never learn.

Isn't it THRILLING to delve into Jehovah's "deeper things" this way? I feel like I'm getting to know the mind of Jehovah...

Here's picture #1. I don't have #2 or #3. Hopefully someone will reach out for opportunities to serve.

I think this deserves the same kind of serious and prayerful consideration that the angel C.T. Russell used when making his measurements from a book about the pyramids. Everybody knows these illos are drawn with exacting precision. By the way, you'll notice I omitted the gutter between the two pages. I think that will only throw off tthe calculation by a matter of weeks or months, certainly not years.
