I got some fast food the other day when I stopped home for lunch. It was fast, hot, and tasty!

VM44, I agree, been there many a times. While Torrance is not BH, it's great all the same. Slice of America. Cool nights & warm days, Del Amo, Redondo Beach, and the PP....and the fond memories of a Catholic I used to know.

Back in the 1980s there was a small chain of seafood fastfood restaurants on the west coast called SKIPPERS, which had CaptainDs and LJS beat all to pieces.
However, in the early 1990s, they started having "sales" problems which they blamed on the influx of Mexican immigrants (etc) into the western states.
I believe a group of fastfood investors out of St. Louis tried to salvage the chain, but I haven't heard of SKIPPERS in a long time.
Did it survive under another name? -
