WT does not follow or care about political jurisdiction... They have thier own world government controlled by over 100 "branches", so they also list separatly US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, even when those territories fully belong to the USA..

Does the Watchtower list the Falkland Islands as a country or are they the Malvinas? I think they have flip-flopped on the name several times. What do they list now or has the only publisher died or left?

PS In the UK the Kingdom Ministry is printed for "Britain". Britain is not a country it is an informal term. The islands including Ireland are the British Isles (the archipelago), the largest Island is Great Britain and encompasses much of Scotland, Endland and Wales. The actual country that the KM is printed for is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Island. Since when is the WTS ever geo-polically correct?

Actually, Quotes and the rest of you guys, you are on to something here. A subtle way the WTS uses to inflate the figures. In the 2003 Service Figures which is the last ones I have, the WTS lists 234 lands where they are operating in. Wow!!! impressive is'nt it???? - the problem is that the figures are exaggerated by at least 15 including the ones you listed and which I missed.
I submit the following for your approval:
1 There is a "land" that has all the hallmarks of a geo-political unit - Head of State, one currency one flag. It is called the Netherlands Antilles. It comprises 6 administrative units all united into this one land: Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, St Eustatius, and St Maarten. However the WTS lists all these administrative units SEPERATELY, as if to imply that they are more widespread then they are.
2 Then there is the US Territory [notice the singular?] of The Northern Marianas. This ONE geo-political unit is listed seperately by its three individual areas: Saipan, Tinian, and Rota
3 The Federated States of Micronesia is also one independant country, but made up of 4 seperate states: Kosrae, Pohnpei, Yap, and Chuuk [or Truk] Yup, you guessed it - the WTS lists them all seperately, as if to suggest that they are in four "lands" instead of one
4 The Federation of St Kitts And Nevis is also one united country but is treated seperately.
I think we can safely conclude that either the WTS is woefully ignorant of the world they live in, or they are phoneys trying to impress us with false figures. Perhaps the truth lies in both places - they are ignorant AND phoney!!
Cheers

I am SO impressed with their creative license and broad use of the term "state" vs "country..........NOT.
They ARE idiots and I was an even bigger idiot for believing all the lies that oozed off their presses.
ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! ADVERTISE! THE WTS IS A CULT!

The WTS lists by branch offices, not countries. That is why Hawaii and Alaska are separate from the contiguous US.
Hawaii used to have Guam and other islands listed under them until these became their own branches.
Years ago Tahiti used to be listed under France for language reasons.

Fatfreak, look at any Watch Tower Service Report. They list Alaska and Hawaii in what is generally a list of countries. Seriously, they do. I suppose they have some excuse about "lands", not "countries", but that is a case of special pleading. Why not start listing other states seperately? Why not list California seperately? After all, California has as big a population as all of Canada, and Canada gets a seperate listing, on its own.
Reply: Boy someone needs a nap.... Hope you researched your "quotes" better than this. -

What are they calling Puerto Rico? A state? hehe! Or a Territory of Spain?
