What is the most cruel thing that the WTS and its JW followers have perpetrated against you? We hear about broken families, people that lost out on education, others that lost relatives to suicide, etc
The most cruel actions of WTS?

They sucked the middle forty years out of my life.
I feel great personal pain when thinking of those that I still love in their grips. I want to free them. That hurts too.

AK Jeff, do you mean that you lost out on your education, or that you could not be a living creative part of the rest of mankind due to the invisible walls they built to shut in their members? Or did you spend a lot of your time pioneering for their cause?

Actually, all of the above.
I passed on college, had to get the work finished up before the end in '75 you know.
I never learned how to be 'charitable' in the real sense of the word.
I became a terrible judge of character and people, due to the self-righteous piety that we all learned and thought was right.
Pioneered for many years too when I could.
The whole deal. I have taken the good with the bad. I don't regret life lived. But I sure wish I could have known what I found out much sooner.

Told me my husband was mean to me and wouldn't get a job to help pay bills because I didn't pray to Jehovah enough, or go out in service

AK I see you also got victimised by that 1975 hysteria and you spent a lot of time as an unpaid salesman of the super rich WTS corporation. But as you said it all finally counts for good. I realised after only 13 months that the JWs were a con and became inactive.
Chimene those are some really strange excuses from a very lazy husband. -

WIthholding really intelligent and artistic kids in the hall from going to college-having them turn down scholarships and grants. Makes me so angry because its already hard for this generation to get motivated
Of course we can't forget them allowing the already thousands who have died from the blood issue. its murder.

Telling abused kids and their parents that they should "leave it to jehovah" while discouraging counselling as it would "bring reproach on jehovahs name"

StillA you are right, but what I can't undestand is what motivates those kids to give up a good education since after 1995 the end is not necessarily near and could be centuries away. As for the blood issue and suicides caused by WTS cruelty they have long since surpassed Jim Jones and his 914 victims.

Well you know where I point the blame on that one. I know this one jw girl who works as a receptionist and I ask her all the time if she plans on ever starting school. She says "no, I don't want to anymore it costs too much money and I want to start pioneering soon" then the dumbest thing came out her mouth one day when I asked her about her future plans: "I will stay here and just work hard to get promoted to a higher position."
Explain to me how you plan on doing that with no education? You'll be working there a good 10 years before they even look your way and by then they'll be college grads who have already taken over the place!
