man you guys, that sounds like a great day!

We lit a fire, talked about life, and dug fossils out of the walls of some of the lower caves. A perfect day in my book.

indeed, that does sound perfect, and you know what? i bet it was.

    cheers,

    ts

    That is so awsome!

I am so happy that you have been able to keep your sisters, IP. I lost mine, most likely for good. Threads like these are bittersweet.

Awesome set of moments for you, I know, Matt. I was excited reading thru your experience, but to then see the pics, you must have had one heck of a time. As well as to be so giftedly connected to your sister through out your trials and tribs, it's good to have someone to support you, especially your blood.

    alt Siblings are great.

As we are all adults now, I've really enjoyed my sisters. I have talked them into scuba diving the walls off Cozumel, Mexico and we have had a great time. Talked my brother into scuba diving in the Mexican underground caves and had a blast. Travelled to California and scaled Half Dome with my youngest sister Roo.

These adventures are so great to share with family. There's nothing better. And, yes, I got my little sister to climb this piece of rock with me. LOL.

This is where I talked my brother into going...

I always wanted a partner that was athletic and ambitious enough for this. I never thought I’d find that in my little sister. I’d rather take her adventuring more than anyone else I can think off.
is it just me or is the wording a little creepy? seriously though, The most awesome thing about the whole day was not the caves, cool fossils we found (and I lost) or any of that stuff. I got to spend time with my big bro, my hero. He told me I was the coolest sister in the world and made my heart smile. We talked about everything and nothing at all. We laughed, got wet, filthy and injured, enjoying each others company with no pretenses or expectations. We just shared a beautiful day together.

Let's start planning the return trip, make sure we have everything we need!
    sleeping bag..........check

Fishing pole and some snacks (Just in case)

    xtra clothes ....check

    30 ft rope .......check

some type of sieve action in the works now an I figure we can just collect water from the dripping spring

    Shovels..................check

first aid kit in case rope breaks.........check

What else do we need? anybody have any suggestions?

    matches and/or lighter

knife (not a mankiller knife, just a camp knife) because you never know what might be seeking a cool spot (or warm, depending on outside temp), and you never know when you might need to saw through your arm...
