Josie, so you are saying that you are nice? Nice people are nice all round. They don't hurt other people's feelings and insult them because they don't know the other person well enough, especially on this board.

Are you serious? I know people swear at times even though they believe in God and go to church. We are not perfect but we can ask God to forgive us.

Yup. I'm not sure what I believe in anymore. I didn't leave the jdubya cult to segue into another religious thing, can't do it anymore. I'm repulsed by religious blather now, initially caused by loss of faith in religious leaders. Although......I DO respect others' rights to indulge and enjoy all the attendant hooplah.

Actually I wouldn't call cursing nice or not having love for God nice.

I recall having a pm conversation with a JW. He never cussed, but he was SO rude. Ungodly levels of rudeness. In one of our conversations, I used the word "shit" and he called me out on it. He pointed out that he had not cursed at me, and didn't like that I was cursing at him.

Interestingly, he had made a crude joke about my wife, and the types of intimacy she and I might enjoy. I told him I didn't want to read that "shit" from him.

I thought it incredible that he had the gall to defend his joke (for which he offered the lamest of it's-your-fault-for-being-offended-but-I'm-sorry apologies) and attack me for using a word for "feces" that he personally didn't like.

But keeping on track here, I saw him as "not nice", despite his love for god and his avoidance of "colorful euphemisms". I had tolerated quite a lot from him, so I considered myself "nice". I suppose nice means different things to different people, eh?

BTW, I don't see love and god tied together at all. A child shows love much earlier than they show spirituality. Animals show love. And believe it or not, atheists show love.
