Interesting experiment with your WT Library 1999 edition CD-ROM

This may work with the newer versions but it only worked for me with the 1999 version.

    You'll need:

    1. Your 1999 WT Library CD-ROM

    2. WinAmp (a media player program that many of you probably already have)

Ok, simply put your 1999 WT Library CD in your CD-ROM drive and then open WinAmp. Go to "open" in WinAmp as if you're going to play a music file from the CD. When WinAmp reads the CD, it will put a label for the CD in the playlist window.

The label it put for mine was: Yngwie Malmsteen

I had never even heard of this artist until I did a google search on him. Turns out he is a heavy metal/death metal artist that refers to demons and such. Why are the WT Library CDs carrying these kinds of labels?

    I love it!

Some low-level Bethel-lite in the CD production department was having a bit of fun.

Demonic infiltration in the "holy of holies!"

I bet there's a bunch more hidden stuff in there, if you know where to look...

I wonder if that's intentional, or if it has a default value for "artist" (like 0, or -1, or 9999) that your machine went out to the internet and found associated with that artist. A coincidence?

I have NO idea how that information is stored, so I'm just guessing. Of course I like the more sinister idea much better, that's the one I HOPE is true. :-)

I just installed version 5.2 and I'm not seeing it. I also tried Real Player and Windows Media Player.

Could it be possible that you just had a song by that guy even thought you don't know his work? Sometimes I find songs I've downloaded and totally forgot about.

Nope, it only reads that title when it is reading the CD drive and when the WT CD is in there. I've only got like 10 songs on my computer and none of them are that dude.

too funny... This guy is mentioned on the same page as Jehovahkill. Even typing that name sends shivers down my spine. -silent

Interesting. If you're into that sort of thing try this. Copy the red text (it doesn't have to be red) into a new Microsoft Word document and press return - wait 3 seconds. If you're a non-techie like me you'll be very surprised - I promise!

Just be sure you copy the text exactly!

Theocrat...Could you explain in more detail how to do this? Nothing shows up in my Winamp playlist unless I click on a specific file.
