JW's have demons.

demonized chairs, forks, pictures, pages from books, dolls, etc. etc.

the most aggravating demon related thing my mother ever did was throw away my fantastic of collection of toys from around the world. I was about 10 and joined something called the kid's explorer's club. every month you got a book, a record and a toy showcasing a country. I had a cool little noisemaker from africa, a beautiful wooden carved giraffe and a tiny animal menagerie called from ivory. you could only tell what they were with a magnifying glass. I had about 10 in all and mom just threw them out. i eventually missed them. she was afraid they would be demonized.

i got her back years later. a bible study of hers gave hers some strawberries and then out of the blue cancelled her study. mom got very depressed and i got scared so i threw away the strawberries thinking they might be demonized.

i do believe in spooks, i do i do i do i do believe in spooks.

When I was 11 or 12 I was having bad nightmares. My parents and the elder's decided my teddy bear (that I had my whole life) was demonized--so they burned it. Nightmares continued. Wonder if my stepdad molesting me might have had anything to do with the nightmares!!!???? dah!!!

I had my psychology books thrown away long time ago because of the superstitious JW mentality. It's their books that are harmful, demonised or charmed, rather than the psychology ones.

You're not alone Joelbear. When we became dubs my mum threw out my cap gun (and for many years I thought it was stolen) .. when I was a bush pioneer I bought a rifle lol. Mum was obssessed with demons so at least we never wore seconhand clothes lol.

We were having serious problems at one point and a sister who said she was very sensitive to demons, came over to "sniff them out". Sort of a "Demon Buster" thing.. She threw out most of my DH's (also a secular jws) precolumbian art., statures, etc.He cried. I look back on that and feel so bad, we thought this was the solution to our problems , which had been labeled as caused by the demons by the local jws/elders.

I had to burn all my family photo albums because my newly reinstated husband at the time was having issues. They said that sometimes people in pictures used to worship "false Gods" and the demons could be attacking him through the photos.

In my opinion it was the pornography he would sneak in and hide all over the place, or maybe the drugs he did when he was out with his friends, but what did I know since I was new to the truth and things like that were never to be discussed.
