I agreed with all of the winners at last night's Oscar's except for the best actor award.

I would have given it to Joquin Phoenix. I thought his performance as Johnny Cash was great.

I also thought that Jon Stewart did a great job. I particularily liked the opening skits.

Not all of them, no. I think Brokeback was best picture. I unfortunately missed the opening (ratz) but I did hear that Jon Stewart did not go over well with the audience, that he connected with the TV viewing audience but not those seated there and that they don't expect to ask him back.

This is weird, with John Stewart you know what you're getting. Surely they would know the type of comedy he would do. Come on!

Crash was a very GOOD movie. I was happy. I didn't see brokeback mountman so i couldn't compare. I still haven't had a chance to see it!

I wanted to see Joaquin or Heath win.

Glad to see Reese get it.

    Still haven't seen Crash yet.

Also happy to see Memoirs of a Geisha take a few non-acting awards.

And of course, "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp"

Yep.. I thought Reese Witherspoon was amazing in her role as June Carter and deserved the award..I think Joquin Phoenix deserved it also..but I can see why the actor who won Best Male actor was awarded it.. I thought Jon Stewart did a great job.. No one is as good as Billy Crystal as far as I am concerned..Ben Stiller was hilarious as usual..

I was glad to see Reese Witherspoon win.

Did you noticed the comments they made about the advantages of seeing the movies on the big screen instead of waiting for the DVD?

You can tell the movie picture industry is really losing money since more people are not going to the movies anymore as much as they used to; I wouldn't pay $8 for every movie I want to see. A lot of people cannot afford it and are waiting for the DVD to come out.

I can't disagree with the winner for best actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman....I thought he was excellent. Of course, I only saw about two of the movies that got noms for anything. LOL

I thought Reese gave the best speech of the night. I hope all the girls watching got her lesson about respecting yourself...

Also I think Felicity was amazing (almost unrecognizable) in her role, so it could have gone either way.

I suppose I'll have to rent Crash. Never really heard much about it till now.

I'm pissed they cut off the Best Picture winners with the damn music. That was downright rude.

(Not that any of this matters at all...)
