I wouldn't go out of my way to talk to them, but I wouldn't shun them if they spoke to me. That would be dragging myself down to their level again, and I left all that behind when I da'd.
If Witnesses had new light not to shun anymore....

I would not shun my daughters, I would welcome them with open arms. If it is wrong for them to shun it is equally wrong for me. Two wrongs do not make a right. Other then family members I do'nt care if they ever speak to me.

It's been over 6 years since I've seen my sister who shunned me. If they change the rules on shunning and she sought me out to make amends, I would tell her to that I wouldn't want anything to do with her until the same length of time went by for me. Then in a little more than 6 years....all would be forgiven.

I just simply have nothing to say to them. All they have is their lives in the organization and I want to have no part of that.

Rimmy hit it right on the nose. They can never take away shunning, it would remove a major part of their mind control program.
But if they did. I wouldn't shun them but I wouldn't talk to them either, they are some boring ass mother truckers.

It's hard to imagine that happening but if they did then perhaps we can try to explain to them why we left, the questions the WTS would never answer, and why they lost out by accepting passively the suppression of free speech in the org. rather than talk and be expelled.

I left their homes at their request in the rain, I let them slam their doors to my back, I stood on their doorsteps and was turned away, I let them snub me in my own home, I was uninvited to their weddings, I drove hundreds of miles to see them and was turned away. They can go suck a rock.

I wouldn't shun them, but I have absolutely nothing to say to them. If I saw one I knew (which would shock me) after that policy change, I would no doubt say hello and might even ask them how they were doing, but I would not converse more than chit/chat because they always bring the conversation back around to the same old bs.

They accepted my gifts, my charity, my generosity, my love....and shunned me anyway - for smoking.
They can all go f themselves.

I wouldn't shun them but I also wouldn't go out of my way to be overly nice. I would sit them down and explain the hurt, depression and anger that shunning causes.
