What would you change in your life if you knew when Armageddon would be?

Sorry to butt in on an intelligent discussion Ozziepost.........

But if I knew when Armageddon was coming I would take out the maximum loans possible (knowing that I would never have to re-pay them) and spend it on holidays and good times.

I would drag my kids out of school as they would have no need for further education.

I would toss in my career as there would be no future in it.

    Deja vu anyone?

IMO, the God Concept is untenable, thus Armageddon™ is a fairy tale.

I'm happy with my life, see no need to change anything anyway.

There are some JWs who live this way now...not many cuz you end up in deep doo-doo...but a few. There's one guy I know who's a master at living beyond his means and using other people's money to fund his life-style. He got in trouble with the IRS and owes a bunch of back taxes, he also stole quite a bit of money from people by taking their utility payments and never passing them along to the utility company, so I assume he owes that too. Somehow he always squeaks by and doesn't end up in jail. I'm sure he's hoping the JW version of Armageddon comes real soon now. LOL

    JH:

    A couple of points:

Zeph 3:8 the context is important, not taking isolated texts at will, as the WTS does, we should read in context and note the word "therefore".

Also what does "wait" convey? Could it be sarcastic rather than a statement of fact?

Armageddon - if this is such an important thing for so-called true christians™ , how come it's only mentioned once in scripture?

I'd buy a bottle of Cabernet, sit on my front porch, and watch the games begin.

Okay, okay, I'll answer the question?

A famous man of faith, when asked this question, replied, "Nothing".

    I'll go along with that.

Surely, it should be the only answer.

    Why change anything?

The WACKTOWER BABBLE and TRICK SYCOPATHS have drummed fear into the hearts and minds of their deceived and misled followers with the WATCHTOWER ARMAGEDDON FACTOR they impose through the demented rambling diatribes they label as "food at the proper time."

I wouldn't change a thing, I like my life the way it is too much now

Anyway, Armageddon's a fairy tale anyway
