Miss Peaches, I can't recall either of those 2 names, though "Kitchen" rings a bell somehow. I don't think I ever had him though...

Then, in 1946, I was appointed to serve as a traveling servant to the brethren (now, circuit overseer) in Australia’s island state of Tasmania.

yb83 p. 99 Australia ***From the beginning of 1948, three more circuit overseers went into the Australian field. These brothers, John Cutforth, Donald MacLean and Robert Smart, had arrived from Canada following training at Gilead School.
ahhh - John Cutforth. Thats a name from the past!!
He went on to look after maybe Papua New Guinea, or Japan, or something like that. A most famous name in the JW history of Australia.

in 1951, Brother Jaracz was sent to Australia to serve as branch overseer.
Cutworth seemed nice enough (brain washed with egg nog).
9. George Hamnet - Still serving from Sydney Bethel (me thinks). Lovely ol' George. too gentle, should have been a doctor instead.
10. Phillip Hayworth - Elder (?) on Sydney's leafy North Shore. Brilliant mind bent byone day reading a stray watchtower.
11. ?.Miller - Curreent whereabouts unknown. Liked to preach the evils of aluminium cookware (probably dead from stainless steel poisoning.)
12. Ben Dykstra - currently overseeing quick builds throughout the islands of the pacific (a rotten job but someones gotta do it )
I wish I'd written all their names down, especially the Queensland firebrands (Qld is Australia's bible belt - font of tollerance and wisdom - NOT!)
Don McLean has been Branch Manager since Habakuk was a boy. If only we could convert him from his secret Ham radio club to secret internet posting.
unc who laughs at the big radio aerial atop Sydney Bethel ---...---

Nice roundup Unc!
The "Frank" character I have been trying to remember maybe Frank Mappin.

I knew Ben Dykstra when he was in Adelaide. Was an exceptional guitarist if I remember rightly.
Eyeslice

Bloody hell eyesplice what were you doing in my home town lol
I know Ben and his family really well. I pioneered with his son Eric (now in charge of the building program at Sydney Bethel silly sod).
