    The "Bad Wolf" website that Blondie gave is owned by the BBC, and is an instance of their "Viral Marketing" of Dr. Who.

    See http://www.dcs.qmul.ac.uk/cs4fn/films/badwolf.html for an article on this method of advertising as it relates to Dr Who.

    Also, that website has a link to another Dr Who "viral" website. It turns out that the Cybermen will be back!

    dorayakii ....Yeah they in fact made a point about mentioning the Dr.'s Northern accent....tried to listen for his vowels (i.e. saying "nut" like "put"). I really like Piper's character, do you know how long she'll be with the show? Hopefully more than just a few eps...

    Yes Leolaia, the northern English dialects retain the oldest pronunciation of these vowels. "us" is pronounced [z]...

    Watch out also for the long [a:] of southern England being pronounced as a short [ æ ] as in "bath"... which is a clipped version of the General American long [ æ: ] but unshaded, as GA [æ:] is, by [e]...

    Also of interest is a final long [i:] of words like "study" being pronounced as a short [e]... eg. {stoo-deh}

    Much of the series is shot in Cardiff, Wales... so you can hear the Welsh sing-song lilt if you're attentive, as well as a couple words of their own language...

    VM44, i love those robots. I think that Dr. Who is an advert for UK tourism lol... you have St. Pauls Cathedral in the background... beautiful...
