jgnat- Hats off to you girl! I don't think I could have gone thru all that without actually killing the SOB!
I know my ex thinks of me as pyscho. He got caught screwing around on video tape. I put a foley catheter in him when he was passed out ( no bag on it and I went to work), every piece of glass on his truck got smashed, the gas tank was full of water (guess it rained alot ...), and the C.D.'s in his 200 disc player got stuck (super-glue) and couldn't play!!

Justitia I know how you felt, I too had a company, very succesful with my ex, and he left me, moved in with his parents, and transfered everything over to his parents name, drained the bank account, and continued writing checks on the account even after I closed it. I couldn't afford the house payments anymore, so the parents "graciously" took over the payments and I had no options but to sign a quit claim deed over so they could finance in their name. I lost everything within a month, but now, I look at my life and if that is what I had to go through to get where I am today, I would do it again. It really built character and made me stand on my own two feet.

JGNAT- that is awful !!!!!! I too was beaten on a regular basis, but not to that extent, mine was more into the psychological games, threatening to hang the kids by trees or torterong them in front of me, then killing me (two were his own from a previous marrige). Feel blessed that you made it out, so many women stay because they are trapped. I wish you lots of love, happiness and success.

How much time do you have?
One of the scariest was about 6 months after I split with my ex husband. He was spying into the bedroom window at my house, and I was making out for the first time with my new bf! He hit the bedroom window so hard I thought it was going to shatter! (He wasnt suppose to be on my property, due to a restraining order)

Honesty: I am soo sorry about your doggie. That was pure evil incarnate. I love my pets like me children, and I fully admit to being insane (insanely in love with them!). And yes, I inappropriately anthromorphize them. Oh well! And all under the guise of being 'concerned for your spiritual welfare! Ugh!
JGNAT: OMG! I am so happy you survived that! My ex was violent also.
Snarf: You are correct, it made me what I am today. Whether that is a good thing or bad, I don't know. :) I too lost my house. I was working only part-time because my youngest was about three. Since I couldn't afford to make the house payment, and since I had no assets, I was given 30 days to take my children and move from my own home.
If I had it to do over again, I would gladly lose double the money to get rid of the guy. By the way, he is on his sixth wife...still hasn't met that perfect person.

Yikes..I was all ready to throw in my "fun with the ex" story until I read these. Jgnat...you are such a strong person to endure that and come out on top. good for you and your children
Honesty..how sad for you about your dog.
I think the worse thing I experienced with my ex was listening to him blatently lie to me about a girl, not once but twice and then find out a month later that he married her. This was right after professing his everlasting love for me and telling me he wanted to come back but "needed to be alone for awhile" A month....and he never told me about it...nor did he have our son a part of it. Another life based on a lie.
I'm glad it's not me this time.
