Christianity progressed beyond the rough edges of Judaism by rejecting the Mosaic law and following a new more humane code of conduct. It's the Jews that should be replying questions about the old testament stories.
AS for the Moslems they still have some really rough practices even in the 21st century like stoning people to death, cutting off hands and flogging as well as beheading for things like sexual misdeeds, theft and abandoning Islam. They are just as legalistic and brutal as the ones that mike is accusing.
