((( Es ))) I had morning sickness starting at 6 weeks that continued for 8 months, even while I was in labor, so I can empathize. You might do a little research on ginger to see if it's safe for pregnant women. It helps nausea.
Morning/all day sickness is no fun at all.
If you're vomiting a lot, you should check in with your doctor - you can easily become dehydrated and need to be hospitalized and get yourself rehydrated.
A lot of my girlfriends use some accupressure wrist bands: there's a small button that puts pressure on the inside of the wrist between the tendons. It's an accupressure point that works for motion sickness as well as pregnancy nausea. I used them in my last pregnancy and they helped an awful lot!
Hello Es,
I too hated the sick ALL day feeling!! Try dried papaya, or papaya tablets. It helped me settle my sensative stomach.

i will def ask the doc i mean if you were allowed up to 400mg than there shouldnt be a prob
Es, the doc told me I could go up to 400 mgs. a day, but as soon as the morning sickness stopped at 200 mgs. a day, I levelled off there, FYI.
I hope something works for you, sweetie. I know how miserable it can make you feel.
Hugs,
Frannie
Es,
Freedomlover mentioned it already but I will attest that ginger also helped me with my nausea.
Hope you get feeling better soon.

Thanks so much for caring serendipity, scully i will def look into the wrist bands they sound good, ladylib, frannie and loruhamah.
I think alot of it is mind over matter i guess if i dont think bout it i may be a bit better....i mean i usually love ginger but the thought of it right now makes me ill, so if i just dont think bout it i might be able to stomach it

Oh I soooo feel for you!! Ugh! It's never easy dealing with feeling like your going to "loose it" alll day....everyday... for months! It's the one thing I hate the most about being prego. I've done it 5 times(although we have 4 'living' children,as one died soon after he was born),but thankfully that icky feeling would go away by the time I reached 4 months.
Out of the things I have tried nothing was a miracle cure(for me) but sleep/rest seemed to help out ALOT on how sick I felt. When your chasing around other little munchkins and not able to rest when you need to,it can make you feel so much worse. It will all be worth it in the end! Everyday that goes by you get one day closer to holding that sweet baby.I know it seems like forever before that day comes but it surely will!! For me,the very second immediately after my baby is born and it's placed in my arms is one of the greatest moments there is in life!!
I hope you feel better soon Hang in there!
Morwen~with 4 arrows in my quiver and I'm not done yet....
...(to the utter dismay of my JW parents and *Friends* who kept telling me... "that's what the *New System* is for. We are in the *end of the End* ya know, no time for making babies" Whatever!!!! )
Hi Es
One of my sisters was very ill with her 1st child, she spent almost 4 months in hospital being drip fed because not even water would stay down for her - fortunately both mum and baby were ok in the end. My sis jokes that it was a great slimming exercise!! (she was down at around 7 stone at 7 months )
When she was expecting her 2nd, she found the following were a great help:
Acupressure bands (as scully has already recommended).
Chewing on small pieces of stem ginger to ease nausea (it's quite strongly flavoured so a large piece will just make you feel worse!)
Last meal of the day, slow release carbohydrates - she had pasta - because your blood sugar really plummets overnight, hence you feel sick in the morning. She also kept a Mars bar by her bed for if she woke during the night, she'd just have a nibble again to keep the blood sugar level up.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Thanks so much for your kind words morwen and sademo....
