As for the impact of disfellowship, it is a function of the mind control techniques practised by the church. If all support and guidance comes from the church and young people are not equipped for a complex world, and that support is conditional upon rigid adherence to dogma, then the rug is pulled, the non-compliant person is thrown to the wolves. It is simply bad parenting.

I really was married to a Dub. I really have been to a few memorials. I really do live 4 doors from a Kingdom Hall that was really built in a quick build by my ex father in law. My wife really was a young pioneer who put up half the halls in eastern victoria.
How else would I know that they keep stats on numbers at each memorial. I even had a farkin annointed at my wedding sitting there all holier than thou with her little flock attitude showing.

Dude, there's only 9 left. Since london bridge and the other one fell over. I didn't get married in a Hall, I wouldn't go in one except out of respect for my in-laws. Respect that wasn't reciprocated by the way.

BTW, my father in law was an elder in the Warrnambool crew. So I do know a little bit about loch ard gorge etc.

If you were ever in a hall here in vicco, chances are he helped build it and provided the wall frames and roof trusses.
