Please pray for me!! I don't want to go but I must because my husband has to make a good showing, hey I think I will make a gorcery list and write a letter.

I still don't know if being on the board is the right thing in Jehovah's eyes, but I do appreciate the opportunity to learn about the organization and it will be my first time back to meeting after doing quite a bit of research....hmmm we will see.

Hey Unclear - it takes a little while to make the break once you know the truth about "the truth." I remember going to meetings and knowing it was all BS and feeling like I was in a Twilight Zone. Hang in there. I used to make grocery lists also, and underline all the BS in the paragraphs!

But seriously: If God exists and he is the one that gave you a brain, wouldn`t he want you to use it? Why is the WTS so interested in keeping it`s member from coming to boards like this? I`ll tell you why: Because on boards like this, you can get access to information and texts coming directly from the WTS themselves! They are scared of their own litterature! The want people to forget about all the failed prophesies, about 1874, 1914, 1915, 1925, 1975, ,"this (literal) generation", etc. They want their members to forget their grandiose claims of being the "prophet of our time", the "jeremiah of our time" the "ezekiel of our day". They don`t want people to read the litterature they themselves published, in which they proclaimed themselves to be a divinely inspired prophet, prophesising about when Armageddon was going to come.

That`s why they don`t want you to be on this board.
