For me, its about control. I don't want to allow them to have that control over me and there are a few friends I keep in contact with. I would hate to lose that. I just tell people I am inactive; however, I would be DF'd if I ever went back.

In a way I'd love a showdown with a body of Elders, fully recorded on video if posible, but in reality I am in the same boat as Lady Liberty and Purza.
By avoiding the big D I've managed to keep contact with family and friends. It is all about power and I've so far denied the WTBS the power to sever the thin strand of mutual respect conecting me with past associates. If I wanted to dominate a Judicial Committee and be disfellowshiped as an apostate it would be a brief hollow victory for me and something I'd soon regret.
I am only speaking about me and in no way belittling anyone elses way or situation.
