One year ago, I attended the memorial, and that led to a bible study which I really didn't want to have, but felt kind of pressured since the elders were here and insisted was for my own good.
So, when they invite you to the memorial, it's not really for Jesus, but to get you to go to more meetings.
The perfect trap, once a year.....
They won't get me this year..............

This will be the 1st time in my 23 years, that I won't attend the memorial at the KH of J Dubs. Kind of a weird feeling... but in a good way!
I think I have only been to 2 in the last 15 years!
JH, how long did the study last? Go to your local Anglican Church on Sunday. You'll love the beautiful service and honor.
Yea, when I read about people going to the Memorial, here I just shudder at the thought of (myself) sitting there through that windowless, suffocating clap-trap. But to each his own--I don't judge those who do choose to go--I'm speaking strictly for myself here.
But I'll pass on the fake love-bombing, thank you. They're always on their oh so best, syrupy sweet behavior especially on that night. All you need do is slip off your soul and check your intellect at the door....there, there....hand it to us---everything will be fine...you're in good hands.....Blech!

3 or 4 months, then i deserted.

Eeesh, poor little thing. That's a picture I really didn't need to see.... but yeah...very fitting.
