Who's with me in saying being a Jehovahs Witness is soooooooooooooooooo wrong. I recon they should be called Jehovah's sheep! (well they are, apparently we are his"flock") How many poeple at had (or have) to go through torture. In my school one boy calls me a hovis biscuit because my mum not me is a JW.(does hovis biscuit sound like jehovah's witness ?get back to me on this i dont think sop but others might!)

I used to get shit like that at school all the time and i used to have to take it so as not to bring reproach on Jehovah's name. Then at 15 my mum decided she wasn't going to go anymore which meant that I didn't have to either and then the kids at school found out that sometimes the witness kids hit back.

I love this! My daughter (20 years old) works with a couple of other kids who either used to be jw's or are df'd and they'll pick this up. They sometimes call each other "brother or sister" and think its a hoot! I'm glad they have each other.

My witness friend's son gets called 'Joeboe' or 'Joey' (used as a derogatory term in my area )

I agree; they are completely whacked. I used to believe some stupid stuff as a teenager. Also we used to be told that we were so 'mature'. I think that we were 'mature' as young children because we were well behaved, but by about the teen years we lagged a long way behind most other teenagers in terms of exposure to so many thoughts and ideas, and hence maturity. In my mid-twenties I had the maturity of a fifteen-year-old, I'm sure of it. Pretty messed up, and embarassing too, now that I remember some of the self-righteous things I used to say.

I was lucky with mates at school. I copped many cainings and punishments from teachers over JW issues but my classmates accepted and even respected me for it. I was a lone JW but it was always us against the teachers. The violence at home was reflected in the violence at school. I guess in softer times the pack turns on itself. It happened sometimes but generally it was just not done to pick on anyone weaker or smaller than yourself.

I don't know how I would have reacted to being called a 'hovis buiscuit' other than to laugh my nuts off. Any insults directed at me as a rep of Jah I'd just have to cop but any directed at me personally was a different matter (one must protect ones god given body as if it were your own lol).

Abbadette, this is bullying which can happen to anyone who is "different". The best way to deal with it is with humour, and understanding the real intent. Meet it at it's level and show you are strong, albeit this does not always mean you beat the crap out of people, but if you have to I'm not stopping you. I stood up for myself good and proper but one day 30 children decided to chant "Jehovah" to me for about 15 minutes. There was nothing I could do other than beat the crap out of them one at a time, but in the end that made me a better person.

    LOL!

Never heard 'hovis biscuit' before. I used to get 'joeboe' or 'jehoover sh*tness' or 'dickhead'.. well actually that last one wasn't cos I was a witness it was for being a twit.

Actually hovis biscuit is quite apt cos both them and JW's go soggy, weak and get gobbled up after being dunked.
