Hey Comment: Well, I missed the boat - rather unusual for me. I am big on understanding context, but somehow I took your main post to be a serious attempt at defending the WTS. Wow! When I looked back at your follow-up comment to mine, regarding Num. 7:12-83, I was jarred into reality that you were making a humorous post. After reading your post again, it all became clear, and my eyes were opened. Good job, and I must admit I enjoy getting caught off guard once in a while - keeps me humble. Thanks. - Amazing
Hey Amazing,
Glad you enjoyed the post! In a way, I find it cathartic to write these Watchtower parodies. It gets the jargon "out of my system" and helps me to see even more clearly what was being said "between the lines" in the magazines.

One way to make Bible reading "come alive" is to project ourselves into the situation being described. For instance, consider the thrilling account of the Shulammite's beauty in The Song of Solomon. Of course, what we read here strengthens our faith in the Bible's historical authenticity. But just imagine how you would have felt admiring the beauty of that maiden with "thighs like ornaments, the work of artisan's hands... and breasts like two young ones the twins of a female gazelle... and eyes like the pools of Heshbon". How such activity must have increased reliance on Jehovah God! This is what Jesus meant when he spoke of "getting the sense of it." (Matthew 13:14)
sorry - couldn't resist it.
That's for another study!
