Thanks, SickofLies, I've listened to your initial meeting and the conclusion where they announced your imminent df'ing, sounded like a lynching to me, it's sad. I don't have a computer at home and don't have a private office so I haven't had a chance to listen to the rest but I will. Thanks for posting it and for reminding me of it.

What-a-Coincidence, how do I get my publisher's card? I think my best option will be to move away. I can still come home and visit my family and at that point they will miss me so they'll wanna see me...it sounds like people who have been most successful have "slipped through the cracks" by moving away and never "registering" or whatever, at a new congregation/KH.

I don't think you can get your Publisher's Record Card. That was discussed on the Board pretty recently. You might want to PM Blondie as she has a good memory for these things.

Hopefully when you return from another state you will be welcomed. But probably only if they think that you are still a JW. Depends on your family. Good luck!

There was a thread about getting your publisher card.

Basically the Service Overseer has the publisher cards in his home. Just become very friendly with him/family to the point where you can stay overnight ... need I go further? Or hire Richie. He is for hire.

OR. This is big. Tell him you want to improve your service and that you would like to review your publisher card. Play dumb and go home with it. And hopefully he will forget. Lets note make a big issue about "the publisher card". I was an elder. It's just a freakin card with your hours/name/dob/do baptism/address/telephone.

Then again, it's this damm card that is reviewed everytime the C.O. comes along and he wants to find out why some publishers are not active, thus that is when they will want to see you.

That's not possible because the service overseer is unbearable. But yeah, that's the thing that I'm worried about. I have a really overbearing body of elders at my congregation and they will not forget about me. They will try to track me down every time they come across my card. I have asked for my publisher card over the years several times, back when I actually thought what I was doing had God's backing, and they always said they'd get it to me and NEVER followed through. I don't think they ever had any intention of giving it to me. I thought it was public record?

Does your publisher record have DF'ing info on it too?

    Blondie, I just PM'd you.

    Thanks!

Richie, are you expensive? I know you are a master at "borrowing" things...

Want to get rid of the elders visits w/o getting df'd or da'ing yourself.

Get caller ID and don't answer the phone unless you know for sure who it is. If it is an elder, let them leave a message and then just delete it.

Don't answer the door when they drop by, insruct your children not to answer the door and let them in (bad for children to do that anyway, let in adults without parents permission), and tell any significant others not to either or no nookie. Now if you live with an active JW, this can be hard, but remember there is a reason there is back door.

I guess it's like when you work for someone... They will keep records on you until the business goes down under. That is how the WTBTS works. All the Bethelites applications are kept forever. Hell, they even have Knorr's bethel application on display.

seems like what is keeping is many from a complete fade is that damm publisher card.

Could a Baptism be Null and Void based on Circumstances?

In the current round of CO visits with the BOEs, there is a specific point regarding this that is read to the elders. I don't recall the exact wording, but the gist is, "if anyone tries to come up and say they want their baptism nullified, they're SOL. We don't 'do' baptism nullifications".

And there were also some references to some Watchtower articles from the 50's or 60's. I did not look them up.

There was another poster (don't recall who) here who explained this in a little more detail, a few months back.

I.e., the GB are well aware of this particular kind of "trick", and are forewarning the elders to watch out for it, and are telling them not to allow it.

Here is another one to keep the elders away...much to what Blondie has posted ...

Tell them you hear voices and are being haunted and that satan told you that there are demons in the kingdom hall and you want to go but cant. They will not know what to do.

    Hi GGorBG,

If you want to see your Pub. Card they will show it to you only if you want to see how you're doing w/your hours. I did this. Then you hand it back.

NOW - if you want to keep it (You must have your reasons) you better run like hell with it and don't look back. I'm sure they mark your standing (DA/DF) on it.

Isn't it sad that that Record card is a barometer of your spirituality. Think about that.
