No - I never loose my cool when driving, although I have been known to call people "idiot". But when you ride a bike like I do, you have to view everyone as potential idiots before you start out.

I felt exactly the same when I was into the cycling. Now that you said that all of the above applies to when I was on the bike too. Q: What is the difference between Montreal Drivers and Winnipeg drivers? A: Montreal drivers are gas pedal demons. You have to be alert as they whizz by you. If you aren't in the slow lane they will blow that horn until they run you down. They do, however know where they are going and for the most part they are in the right lane for turning off the road they are on. They just do it fast. Winnipeg drivers think they are doing ballet on the road. Zigzag back and forth, haven't got a clue where they are going until 10 feet before they have to turn. A right hand turn across 3 lanes of traffic at the very last minute is the norm. More than once when I was on a 3-lanes highway, the two cars on either side of me decide they are going to switch lanes about 10 feet in front of me. Sorry guys we can't all be in the same place at the same time.

Sometimes but I never try to engage the other driver who I think has wronged me because whenever I am on the road I have my kids and I'm not willing to put my kids in danger (cuz you never know if that person is a nut with a gun) over someone's crazy driving. I just try to keep out the way and avoid it.

I undergo a complete transformation behind the wheel. Screaming banging my fists, aggressive. I try not to drive too much as it is just so bad for my blood pessure and my soul.

I usually am pretty calm behind the wheel but I got really annoyed at this chick yesterday. I was stopped behind her at a green light where we were both in the left turn lane. Well, normally if you're the first in line, you pull up into the intersection so that when there's a break in the oncoming traffic, or when the light goes red you make your turn. Well, she just sits there behind the line and the light turns red and she still just sits there. Damn, we both could have gone if she'd have been smart about it, but instead we have to wait through a whole light cycle to get the green arrow.

Theres so much traffic around here you get used to it.Some folks have forgotten how to use turn signals.I just sit back and listen to the radio.

When I say "bike" Lady Lee, that's short for motorbike. But anyhow what you say is still correct - you have to watch out for people when cycling as well as biking.

sorry ballistic. I never can tell the two apart but I know the bicycle only has a human motor

YOUR bike however must be downright dangerous considering how people think they don't belong on the road

This happened to me the other day. I was following a woman who was talking on her cell phone. We were in the right hand lane and came to a stop light. Our light was just turning red. However, the other light has an advanced green which means we still have plenty of time to (legally) make a right hand. That is, provided the person in front of you can put two and two together and see that they can turn. This dumb woman is so busy yaking on her cell phone that she's not moving. I honk my horn at her and she still doesn't move. People behind me are starting to honk their horns too and she still doesn't move. I was pissed off but refrained from screaming at her.

I'm trying not to get so angry when I drive because it raises your blood pressure, so I'm just trying to be a bit more calm so that I'm not all aggitated by the time I get to work...........

I was thinking about this. The fact I view all road users as potential idiots makes me suprised when I see good driving and almost no reaction when I see idiots. It's the opposite to my view on life which is eternal optimism. The eternal optimist is always led ultimately to disappointment.

P.S. LOL @ Mary's drive to work... you tell 'em!
