    Remember April is Child Abuse Awareness Month. Child advocacy organizations across the US are promoting their cause this month. That means the child abuse issue has people's attention now. Capitalize on it!

    I viewed the video just now. His story is detailed, detailed, detailed of who, what, where, when, and how. He's very credible. Wow.

    If I had one wish, it would be that this video and the man who was molested was an incommon situation. But, his hurt and molestation has happened many times over. In my experiance, I "knew" of 2 molesters, each in a congregation I was involved in. If each Kingdom Hall harbored one molester.....how many molesters are there?

    I give this man a big hug. Let's get his word out. It proves neither Jehovah God nor Jesis is with the Jehovah's Witness organization as they allow such horrendous harm against children.

    Published April 26, 2006 Testifying against his father, Leon Slack whipped a piece of electrical cord across a bed frame in the courtroom. The cord, he said, was like the one his father used to beat Slack's sister to death.

    Jurors watched as Slack repeatedly slapped the cord, demonstrating how he said his father struck his sister more than 100 times after she was tied to the same frame in November 2001.

    Laree Slack had screamed out, her brother said, but their father, Larry Slack, stuck a towel in her mouth to muffle her.

    Leon Slack, now 21, testified in Cook County Criminal Court on the first day of Larry Slack's trial in the murder of 12-year-old Laree. Leon Slack said his father routinely beat him and his five brothers and sisters with electrical cords.

    "You felt it not only in your back, but in the front of your chest," Slack said. He then described the force his father used--like "you were hammering a nail into wood."

    Larry Slack and his wife, Constance, were charged in the case after paramedics responded to a 911 call from the house in the 7900 block of South Brandon Avenue, Chicago. Prosecutors have said the couple were strict Jehovah's Witnesses who practiced corporal punishment.
    Constance Slack has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and is expected to testify against her husband, who faces the same charge.

    On Tuesday, Assistant State's Atty. Meg Blade told jurors the facts of the case are so horrible that justice demands a guilty verdict.
    Assistant Public Defender Denise Streff urged the panel not to let sympathy sway them. Larry Slack did not intend to kill his daughter, Streff said.

    The couple loved their children but did whip them as a form of discipline, just as their own parents had, Streff said. Larry Slack worked as a Chicago Transit Authority machinist and Constance Slack worked as a nurse.

    "It got out of hand," Streff said of the discipline. "It absolutely got out of hand ."

    My Molester Is Still A Jehovah's Witness Elder A boy was molested by a ministerial servant in a congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses en route to an assembly, where the molester was due to give a talk at the convention. Revulsed, the boy was nevertheless forced to be around this molester in the years ahead in agonizing cruel ways.
    When the matter came up before the Service Dept. of the Watchtower in Brooklyn, and the elders in the local congregation, no reply was given, no apologies, no offer for counseling an abuse victim, just the warning that you "could be disfellowshipped for gossip." That in spite of the fact that the molester not only acknowledged his dirty deed to the young man later on, but that the other elders and Brooklyn had "taken care of the matter."

    The molester moved on to be a Special Pioneer and elder in the boy's congregation. He remains an elder in Jehovah's Spiritual Paradise to this day. No offers for help were ever given to the young man, who will remain anonymous as he is still technically a Jehovah's Witness.

    The following video is a shocking reminder that in spite of the Watchtower's Public Relations Dept. and their statements on their website, the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society is still VERY MUCH INTERESTED in keeping molesters a secret in the congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses, even using such ones in responsible positions!
