If you could go back in time, how far would you go?

I'm not talking about going back 200 years now, what I mean is if you could go back to when you were younger, how far back would you go, and re live that period of time up to today, maybe in order to fix something that still bothers you today, or just for the joy of living it again.

If I could go back in time, I'd like to be 17 or 18 years old old again, go back to college, follow a different course, meet plenty of young poeple, party in the bars once more, and re live the joy of having young parents and having a full life in front of me.

How about you, how far back would you go?

Also, I wouldn't have accepted a bible *Watchtower* study at age 27. I'd like to relive that period of life, and see what I would have done differently.

i was gonna say rat that i'd like to go back to 607BCE to figure this thing out once and for all!...but you already ruled this out...

personally i wouldn't change anything, and going back would mean changin how thing are for me now, and i'm pretty content really :)

i don't see why you can't make up for your lost youth now rat, although it be in a slightly toned down way? i hope you do. much luv frog x

It wasn't a lost youth, but it was that good, that I'd like to live it again, except for the JW stuff....

Hmmm...I wouldn't see any utility about going back in time...teenage years and highchool are confusing enough.

But surely, I would go back just before I decided that I needed to get baptised and I would run the crap out of there. Never to look back. At least I'd still have a relationship with my dad....The JWs are probably one of the only religion where people come to consider their baptism as one of the biggest mistakes of their lives.

I wouldn't mind growing younger, say around 25, but I don't want to go back in time, I want to stay in this time...

Darn, I was hoping you were asking about a time period, because I was going to say the 40/50 which was an exciting time in the States for women. Also, I love the movies from then, so I would have loved going to the theater to watch all the old stars on black and white big screen. From the sounds of it, it was more like an experience then just another day at the movies.

As for going back in age. Nahh. I love the fact that I am in my 30's and that I am where I am. I don't regret any aspect of my life .... it was a learning experience.

However, I would like to state again for the record, I would like to travel back in time to the 40/50's. So if any one here can make that possible please let me know. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

If I could go back, I would like to go back to the 1840s , when I could meet my heros, Sherlock Holmes, where every night was foggy, and Alain Quatermain, whose life was a continuous Ripping Yarn.

But <sigh> since you won't permit that, then I'd settle for the 60s: Kennedy, Woodstock, The Beatles, Turning on, tuning out, making out, making love, not war, and best of all, vinyl records. And like all young people, I was immortal

    Cheers

Interesting thought - would I be able to take "present truth" circa 2006 back to myself in 1990? Or would I just reject myself as a big butch aposta-fiend?

If I knew what I knew now I would love to be 15 again. Then I would not get baptised. Wow, I could have a normal teenage life, sort out my boundaries and priorities from 15 to 25 and then marry and feel settled. As it is I am 36 married and unsettled, acting like an 18 year old and probably looking quite insane.
