peddling religion should be illegal... freedom of speech my ass... but that is besides the point...
what bothers me is if you somehow do "plant the seed" and bring smeone into that stupid religion, how would you feel?why do you ppl go on service when you hate the religion? why pretend, just so you can please ppl who really do not care about you? dont you realize you are better off without the ppl willing to ditch you at the drop of a hat? damn, i dont get it!!!
and i had a gun pulled on me and my mom once, that was scary...

I like that reply now cause it is soo true. at the time i just felt really embarrased and indignant that he thought he was sooo superiour and had a "liberal" view on gays. it was frustrating cause at the time i really knew the jw's were soo wrong in their view of gays. yet here i was, out preaching their destruction... totally embarassing...

I hated going out in service in the final years; I hated it with a purple passion. I can't imagine a more horrible experience...

I haven't been out in the field service since 1988. Any time I turn in (irregularly) is from discussions with my daughter or postings on message boards. It's amazing that the elders haven't said a thing to me. I guess this is one of the few benefits of being a single female in the org, it's easy to exist on the fringes.
