Punishing GB members, COs and elders

I don't think they should be punished as they are usually innocent victims themselves. The only reason they get to that level is the years of mental manipulation that primes them for the job.
Rutherford is to blame for the cult like status and structure and there is not much we can do to punish him.

I think apart from Rutherford Franz also bears great responsibility for transforming this org into an even more extreme cultic one and generally the GB are guilty of misrule and gross abuse of religious rank.
Without the COs and elders, they are obviously incapable of imposing anything upon the millions of JWs so the former are instrumental in enabling the GB's oppressive rule and therefore also guilty of its abuses.
They all need to be punished by sharing the cost of compensating all the victims making good the damage they've caused. -

i'd take their position and destroy their faith in the society, without that they are powerless.

That was what impressed me w/Ray Franz. He has no animosity for these people. He tells what happened and of course it would've p***** him off, but he isn't going to allow the crap that happened turn him into a bitter and hateful person.
Excellent point, juni. And he is no different in person. We have taken the time to stop and see him and his lovely wife several times. He would be the first to open his doors to those that "squeezed" him out if they came to him for help.
I personally believe, "you reap what you sow." I have seen many of those who were abusive, be abused themselves, see their family members turn away from them, get old and sick and have no one help them in the congregation just like they were no help to others
Living well is the best revenge.

Your right blondie, i think any life without the society is hard for witnesses to grasp.

I was sexually, verbally, emotionally, and spiritually abused as a child. I know what it is like to want revenge on your abusers...but I also know how it hurt me until I let go of it.
Want to concentrate your energies on something productive; help people who have been abused.

How do you think the GB members along with the COs and elders should be punished for the way they emotionally and spiritually abuse and hurt the flocks of the naive R&F?
I have the most problem with the Governing Body members. Rather than punish them, I would be satisfied if they made a public apology, either at an assembly or in the magazines, about their abusive attitude along with all of their false doctrines, and asked for forgiveness from the R&F. The Worldwide Chuch of God did this a few years ago. They lost a good number of their members (like alot of the hard liners), but I give them great credit for standing up, admitting they were wrong and apologizing to their flock. I'm sure Jesus takes a much better view of them than the WTS who refuse to admit when they're wrong and treat their flock like the Evil Slave does---by beating them spiritually, mentally and emotionally.

Dearest Blondie,
I was sorry to read about all of the abuse you suffered. I, too, suffered emotional abuse from my mom. But after years of having its hold on me I finally let go of it and actually pitied her. She is very much to herself - she is 80 now and has been a widow for 20 years. She disconnected from what friends she had.
She won't call me. I call her from time to time and just keep it on neutral subjects. I always end our conversation with "I love you", but she has NEVER EVER SAID THOSE WORDS TO ME EVEN AS A CHILD. She hates the JWs, but she hated a lot even before we became JWs. So that was used as an excuse for her behavior.
I just go on w/my life and enjoy my grandkids and my adult kids. Life is too short to stay angry.

The GB should be forced to watch a bunch of hot blonds in a Lingerie Tickle Fight... only the GB will their hands tied down to prevent any accidental "pornea".
