Someone else wrote a good thread about the naughtiest thing you've ever done at a convention.

Ok... What did you do to "legally" get out of your chair?

For me, it was easy, because I got to volunteer at some desk so I had 'permission' to be walking around in the hallways.

I also did volunteer work. I think many brothers would rather work than sit for hours on end. A guy (or girl) get sleepier and more bored just sitting. If I didn't volunteer, I'd usually had to pee enough that I could get up and go to the can every 45 minutes or so.........damn shasta colas anywho!

When they had food service, I'd volunteer myself and my sons for that...unless there was a sis who could look after the boys for me. Mostly, I was stuck in my seat. Should have brought a radio to listen to like blondie.

To really rule, volunteer to be an "attendant".

If you can graduate to a "management position" you will then be given a hand-held communication device and told to watch out for streakers and other dangerous anti-social disruptives.

you can then BS on the walkie-talkie with hottie babe alerts to the other bored to death attendants. Feel free to create your own grading system and code words. You will also be practically as important to yourself as a 7th grade Jr. Cop doing crossing guard duty at the Jr. High.

Worked for me...for a while, until I had a good look in the mirror...

Well, now that they don't have food service, there can't be nearly as many ways to kill time! Those poor people, trapped in their pods seats!

Well... for me... ever since I was a wee lad, I was always enchanted with the 'sound' and amplifiers and such.

I remember hanging out back-stage, and watching them adjust the knobs... and the low-lit amplifiers, and the hum of the transformers...

More than once - since I was a youngster... pre-teen - or even 14 - did I get asked to leave. I just slunk back into the shadows to stick around and watch... and try to 'help'.

Later on... I learned what those dials did - and how to adjust them myself.

I volunteered for the 'sound department', and could 'legally' walk around during the sessions. WooHoo!!! Plus! I got to wear a neat looking badge with 'Sound Department' on it!

That was about the only way that I could stay awake.

... need to go check the sound levels at the consession stands... Yeah. That's it. see ya...

When my brothers where still babies, I would insist on being the one pushing them around in their strollers or just walking with them to the bathroom...very slowly. Both my mother, my sister and I wanted to do that.lol

But when they got old enough, the only way I could get out of my seat was mentally. Very rarely did my mind stayed put in one place.hihi
