NN your most welcome.
Jgnat - I did reference the point about the many different 'types and varieties of sheepdogs' and the gaurding species, Maremma's and the difference in the 'species' of Wolves, Coyotes are not Wolves, easy to kill.
Rottwiellers originated as a gaurding and shepherding dog. They carrried the drovers purse about their necks, as in those days roaming bands of marauders were common
Old English sheepdogs, also a gaurding and driving shepherding dog.
German shepherd's, Alsations, same.
Sorry can't copy and paste pictures.
Maremma's have been purposely, selectively bred for their 'specific job' by man. it is in their blood, generation to generation, built up over many years.
They are 'born in' to the flocks, and raised with the flocks, they are fed in troughs with the flock and they grown up with the flocks.
I posted a thread on animals universal language, but nobody seems to have the want, or maybe knowledge to discuss such things.
Huskies are not a shepherding breed and are an 'aggressive' breed, they are closer to the wolf bloodline. Huslies are not 'communal' dog's, 'pack' dog's.
