I just got 30Gig IPOD and want to do TV shows mostly.

You can download from iTunes and pay $2. Or you can download from other sites and then use videora (freeware) to convert. If you have DVD's, you can also use videora to convert. There are iPod forum out there. Google that term, and post this question there, and you'll get even better answers.

I know that Apple has a site......
I didn't want to join one until I had some information about the offerings. The ones that I visited didn't show the actual shows etc that they offered just marketing crap, "We have the latest shows".
I was hoping for some critical info on different sites.

the site i posted allows free downloads of mainly old tv series...
lots of smurfs stuff there
