When I was in Oz this was a big deal, everyone was getting into reflexology.

However, I do believe in homeopathic medicine. I like to combine the best of both worlds, modern medicine and homeopathic. If one works better then the other, I go with it.

I think JWs are hypochondriacs anyways. I think if they sit and wallow in their diseases it gives them something to discuss other then religion. It's got to be so boring. You are not allowed to have any outside interests, so why not convince yourself you have some kind of unknown disease that way you can look forward to the new system when all your ailments will be done away with. Granted you will inhabit the earth with a bunch of loons, but who the hell cares you will be perfect!

I believe the old time false teachings about medical issues created the groundwork for the current suspicion/disdain of the medical profession.

Here are some entertaining ones for you (MS Word download): Brochure: Bizarre Medical Myths--Believe it or not!

Somewhere in there, the chelation craze spread, and Dubs were spending $125 a session to an unlicensed practioner to clean out their arteries with some mysterious solution

from the cases i know of in my old congregation it was a hydrogen peroxide solution that was used.
