It is intereting that in this weeks meeting, it discusses grooming. I wonder if any comments will be made regarding beards.

Where I'm from you can have a beard just no privileges then. The way JW,s would express their feelings about beards is "it is frowned upon"
Elder said: "having a beard is like having a ponytail" I can't see what's wrong with beards or even with pony tails for that matter, Jesus himself no doubt had both (at least long hair if not a pony tail) being a Nazarene Jew.
It's all a case of devious cultic control.
When I started to move out from organization, I started to grow hair. My hair was about to my EAR (upper side) and my parents were complaining that my hair is not good for Jehovah. Now my hair is longer and I have been growing beard. Now they complain about beard. Beard is not good in eyes of God.. What a load of CRAP.
How do JWs reconcile this teaching of 'Jehovah'?:
