Why are you so happy? Do you really want a pshychological reason?

aahh, the newness of new relationships, whatever they may be.

Keep searching for a real relationship with God and Christ. Not a relationship with a publishing company.

    all the best...

    Hey there, IFTNP,

Nice post. I'm personally not religious in any sense, but I wanted to draw your attention to an implicit assumption you're making:

Personally, I think that it is hard to argue what the right religion is. There are so many different translations of the bible. <BR>

This is really a non sequitur. The only possible way to join these two sentences together is with the assumption that some translation of Bible is tied the "right religion." But there are many religious people out there that might argue that the true religion is based on another book altogether. In this statement, you reveal that you have a bias toward some flavor of Christianity, as though you have dismissed all other religions completely. I'm sure you probably realize that most of the planet follows different holy books.

Anyway. I'm just pointing it out to make you think. Questioning your assumptions is always a good thing. Many good wishes to you on your spiritual journey.

It's interesting that many see religion as a non -neccesity to god. Just where exactly did you find that there is a god ? You say we don't need a religion...just god...yet your assuming there is a god , yet you don't really know. Are you "contenting" yourself that there is one for sure and coming to the conclusion religion isn't the way to him? Who is he/she and how do you know...without pre- religious influence for your answer?

I'm not saying there isn't one, but I also can't say there is one as a fact.

Even if you don't think that only JWs are right, by spreading their message that is what you are saying to the world. The JW doctrine is very strong that only JWs worship God and only JWs will be saved. Everyone else worships Satan. Jehovah is said to be a God of love in one breathe but in the next that say that anyone that does not associate with the Watchtower Society (6 billion people) will soon be devoted to destruction by God.

“7 Only Jehovah’s Witnesses , those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd,” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil.” Watchtower 1989 September 1 p.19

“Similarly, Jehovah is using only one organization today to accomplish his will. To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it.” Watchtower 1983 February 15 p.12

here here! I agree with this, Gumby. Maybe it's a huge rebound from the JW, a 180 in order to get away from all of it, but I'm in agnostic territory lately. Makes sense to me.

Think about this for you Christians out there, Jesus did not start a religion - he started a faith. There is a big difference. Religion is an institution that has done nothing good for mankind and has been used to dominate other men for centuries.

No you have not. If you preach the message that the JW's preach is it the same message that Christ's followers preached? The reason I asked you this: But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than what we have preached to you, a curse be on him! As we have said before, I now say again: if anyone preaches to you a gospel contrary to what you received, a curse be on him! Gal 1:8-9

That is kinda mean if they think they are the only ones to be saved. (looks concerned)
They really think that? I have been wanting to as a JWs (implying it) that question. Maybe I should to see what they say
